DENTAL SEALANTS

Dental Sealants are an excellent way to protect your children’s teeth. Sealants are thin, protective liquid coatings placed on the chewing surfaces of back teeth. (molars and premolars) This creates a smooth barrier that prevents food and plaque from getting caught in the grooves of the teeth. Sealants help prevent cavities and tooth decay, especially in children. They are quick and easy to do, painless, no anesthetic is required for this preventive treatment, and they last for years. Dental insurance usually covers this procedure for children.

NIGHT MOUTH GUARDS

Night Guards are dental appliances usually worn, when sleeping, to protect your teeth from grinding and clenching. They shield and cushion your teeth from wear and can reduce jaw pain by creating a barrier between your upper and lower teeth. When night guards are made by our doctors, they are custom fitted of hard acrylic for superior protection.

An impression is made of your teeth for our lab to create your custom night guard taking into consideration your anatomy and condition of your teeth. Night guards are also suggested for patients who have had crowns and veneers to protect their investment.

SNORE GUARDS

Have you been told you snore? Are you missing restful nights, because of your snoring? Schedule an appointment to see if a snore guard may be right for you. A snore guard is an oral appliance to wear while you are sleeping. It will gently push your lower jaw forward to keep your airway open therefore, reducing tissue vibrations that cause snoring.

By widening the area of your airway, the snore guard stabilizes the soft tissue structures. It creates smooth air flow, instead of the turbulent vibrations created by a partially obstructed airway.
